Stinky hemp

The Internet has never failed me. No matter how seemingly obscure my question, I find answers. Most recently, I noticed a funky odor when my baby peed, but only when she peed on hemp training pants. The training pants smelled clean coming out of the wash. The urine smelled clean in the potty bowl. Were the urine and hemp reacting to one another? I was worried about a urinary tract infection, but it seems that others experience this stinky hemp, too.
